No, it wasn't a traffic jam at Crawfordsville Bridge Wednesday morning, March 1.
Linn County Road Department crew members, as seen in the first photo, were inspecting the bridge, which is in need of repairs, Rob Kennedy, lead person for the county Bridge Crew, said.
The 105-foot Howe truss-type bridge, built in 1932, was bypassed by Highway 228 in 1963 and is now managed by the Linn County Parks and Recreation Department as a pedestrian bridge across the Calapooia River.
