A Sweet Home man was stabbed Friday afternoon, May 5, during an altercation at a 9th Avenue residence, police said.

A second man was arrested on multiple charges in connection with the incident.

According to police, officers responded at about 4:55 p.m. to 1547 9th Avenue, where they found Justin Jones, 24, who had been cut and stabbed.

Jones was transported to a hospital by ambulance.

Officers found Kyle Sabato, 21, also at the residence and “there was evidence that he had been in a physical altercation,” police said in a statement.
