Golfers finish year with fifth place in district tournament

Sweet Home finished its golf season last weekend, placing fifth in the 4A-Special District 2 tournament held at the Tokatee Golf Course in McKenzie Bridge.
The Huskies finished with a score of 789 for the two-day, 36-hole competition, held Friday and Saturday, May 5 and 6.
North Bend won the team title with total of 683 after tournament leader Marist was disqualified for rules violations.
Cascade finished second, with 690, followed by Marshfield with 741, to qualify for state.
