Sweet Home falls to league's top softball teams

The Sweet Home softball team (6-13) lost two home games to the top two squads in the Oregon West Conference last week, falling to Cascade 10-6 on Wednesday and Stayton 9-3 on Thursday.

Of the game against Cascade (13-5), Head Coach Emily Marchbanks said "Losing is always hard, but they're a good team, and we competed well and have been consistently improving, especially with our offense. In general, I think that we are being more aggressive when we're hitting, and consistently putting the ball in play more than we were at the beginning of the year."
