Sweet Home's JBO Minor American baseball team of third- and fourth-graders, coached by Erick Larkin, finished second in the Memorial Day Challenge tournament May 27-28 at the Harmony Sports Complex in Clackamas.
Assistant Coach Kyle Tucker said the boys, many of whom are new to this level and for whom this was their first tournament, went 3-2, winning two games on Sunday to make the final, where they lost 5-2.
