Police and bystanders assess the situation Tuesday, June 13, after a 1955 Chevy pickup ran over the median strip on Main Street.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:47 p.m.

According to police, the pickup, operated by Michelle Marler, 49, of Sweet Home, was turning east out of the parking lot adjacent to the Rio Theatre onto Main Street when it began to fishtail, according to a SHPD report. Police said Marler's foot slipped off of the pickup's clutch, and the pickup spun and launched into a median, damaging the cement flower bed and a metal sign.
