Adelina Parker, 11, gets instructions from a volunteer before riding through the bicycle safety course.

According to organizer Sean Morgan of the Sweet Home Police Department, more than 50 helmets were distributed at the Jim Bean Public Safety Fair Saturday, June 17, in the parking lot Bi-Mart.

More than 60 youngsters completed "passports," which they got stamped at each of the 14 booths at the fair. These passports gave them a chance to win a brand new bike.

Sixteen Sweet Home Police Department volunteers made it happen, along with 13 Linn-Co Federal Credit Union employees who helped out.
