Foster-Midway residents are ignoring the efforts of state and county health agencies to annex to the City of Sweet Home.
At least those in favor of the annexation are ignoring it, as the required petition containing the signatures of 11 persons favoring annexation has yet to be received by Dr. Julius Varga, Linn County Health Officer. In fact, Varga said Tuesday, nobody has even requested a petition form.
A meeting sponsored by the Area Beautification Committee will be held at the Sweet Home City Library to discuss formation of an East Linn County Historical Museum.
