Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Highway 20 Crash

Motorcycle came to rest near mile marker 58 on Highway 20.
At 5 p.m. on Aug. 12, Oregon State Police responded to a motorcycle crash on Highway 20 near milepost 58. The rider, Donald Savard, 45, of La Pine, lost control while traveling westbound and slid into a guardrail. He sustained serious injuries to his lower body from the crash and was life flight transported to a hospital.
The first life flight helicopter called to the scene was grounded, so a second unit had to be called in from another location to pick up Savard.
