Girls soccer comes up short in first two matches

The Sweet Home girls soccer team has struggled so far this season, dropping its first two contests by wide margins. The Huskies lost 9-1 to Klamath Union on Aug. 28 and 7-0 to Elmira on Aug. 31.

The goal for the Huskies in the game against KU was scored by junior forward Amelia Sullens in the 33rd minute.

The Huskies have certainly caught the injury bug so far in the young season. Seniors Rylee Markell and Zianna Duncan are out for three weeks with concussions. Junior Zoe Garret is battling an ankle problem. Junior Kirsten Sautel twisted her ankle and is out for a minimum of three weeks. An...
