Girls soccer to focus on passing, communication

Sweet Home girls soccer fell to 0-3 on the year last week with an 8-0 loss at Junction City on Sunday, Sept. 9.
Head Coach Ramiro Santana said one of the issues is injured players, with the maladies including concussions and ankle and knee problems. He also said that “four or five girls have never played the game before.”
Assistant Coach Kelsey Walker said that Saturday was the team’s first game with subs. “It was a little different in that aspect, she said. “We’re trying to see where everyone’s playing still.”
