Michael Dale Lindley, 72, of Lebanon died August 26, 2023.
He was born on September 21, 1950 in Medford, OR to Kenneth Dale Lindley and Betty Jean Lindley (now Acaiturri).
He moved to Sweet Home in 1960 and graduated from Sweet Home High School (SHHS) in 1968. He lived in Lebanon for the past 24 years. He exhibited his deeply committed work ethic by providing his skills to Willamette Industries (Weyerhaeuser / International Paper) for nearly 40 years prior to retiring at the end of 2009 (the final 32 at the 'Albany Paper Mill').
He was an active and loving father (to Chris & tOdd) and helped coach many baseball teams - including the SHHS freshman team in 1987. He was a fan of golf, Beavers baseball, Ducks football, the music of CCR, Roy Orbison, ABBA, The Eagles (and anyone who displayed high levels of musicianship - his tastes and appreciation always seemed to grow). He loved learning, whether it be from reading Scientific American, Astronomy, Science News, and other periodicals or learning in video form, such as YouTube.
He is survived by his mother, Betty, of Sweet Home, brother Steve (& Wanda) of Randle, WA, step-sister Renee of Santa Barbara, CA, sons Chris (& Tina) of Hillsboro and tOdd (& Cathy) of Sandy, and three grandchildren whom he loved very much: Andrew, Alyssa, and Sarah.
