Girls soccer falls to Cascade and Newport

Sweet Home girls soccer lost a pair of matches against conference opponents last week, losing at home against Cascade 8-0 on Tuesday and then on the road against Newport 8-0 on Thursday.

The losses have moved the Huskies to 1-6. Cascade is 4-2, while Newport is 3-3-1.

Head Coach Ramiro Santana said the Huskies have had a few players hurt and he's hoping to get them back playing.

In practice the team has been working on passing, trapping and communication, "simple things," in Santana's words.
