Karl Henry Brown, 93, of Sweet Home passed away October 21, 2023. He was born April 3, 1930 to Clarence and Alice (Coover) Brown in Parsons, Kansas. In 1951 he was inducted into the Air Force stationed at Shepard Air Force base in Texas. He moved to Sweet Home after being discharged from the Air Force in 1953.

Karl worked in the lumber industry in the Sweet Home area until retirement in 1993. He also was an auto mechanic in his garage at home. He was a lifelong member of the Sweet Home Evangelical Church and was a member of the American Legion for many years.

He enjoyed remodeling, repairing, maintaining his home, cars and just about anything that needed fixed. He did a little hunting and fishing but enjoyed camping the most owning several types of RVs and had a Thousand Trail membership for many years.

Karl is survived by his wife Rosemary of Sweet Home; children Karl Eugene and wife Linda of Eugene, Carrie and husband Ray Jones of St Helens, Teresa and husband Steve Goodman of Portland, Denise and husband Steve Tillery of McMinnville, Chris Brown of Lebanon, Brian and his wife Ronna Brown of Lebanon, Todd Brown of Mist, 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Alice and seven siblings.

Memorial Service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Friday November 3 at Sweet Home Evangelical Church. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. http://www.sweethomefuneral.com.
