The filing period for Sweet Home City Council seats in the Nov. 6 general election is open through 5 p.m. on Aug. 28.
Four seats will be open, with those positions expiring Dec. 31. Incumbents are Robert Briana, Susan Coleman, Diane Gerson and Mayor Greg Mahler.
To be eligible, a candidate must be a registered voter and have lived in Sweet Home for at least one year.
