Sweet Home High School’s Bee Country Beekeeping is offering swarm and colony removal for honeybees.
If you’ve got a swarm or a colony, call (541) 292-1207 or stop in at 1641 Long St. when school is in session. This benefits high school students who are taking beekeeping.
Museum seeking donations for sale
East Linn Museum is seeking donations for its annual yard sale, which will be held during Sportsman’s Holiday on Saturday, July 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Small to medium-sized items are preferred. Large items cannot be accommodated. Items may be dropped off at the museum, 746 Long St., which is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

SHPD to host bike rodeo Saturday
The Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main St., will host its annual bike rodeo from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 26.
The bike rodeo is a stripped- down version of the annual Jim Bean Public Safety Fair.
During the event, Sweet Home Police Department will hand out free bike helmets, inspect bicycles for safety and make minor repairs or adjustments and register bicycles. Children will face a skills course and be able to enter drawings for bicycles donated by local businesses. A hot dog lunch will be served.
Also, after a two-year absence, the shredder truck is coming back. Members of the Sweet Home community who may have been stacking up their documents can bring them to be shredded from 9 a.m. to noon.

Sportsman’s fest in Sweet Home
Sweet Home will hold its Sportsman’s Holiday festival July 8-11, including a wide variety of live, in-person activities.
A Cut the Gut cruise will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 9, followed by a Chips ’n’ Splinters variety show at 7:30 p.m. at Sweet Home High School Auditorium, 1641 Long St.
Saturday’s events include: Elks Breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at 440 Osage St., followed by the annual Parade on Main Street at 11 a.m.
Artisan Alley craft fair will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Rio Theatre in the 1300 block of Main Street.
The Loggers Olympics, a competition featuring working loggers from local companies, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the rodeo grounds in the 4000 block of Long Street.
A fireworks show will take place at dusk at Foster Lake.
A raft tug o’ war will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lewis Creek Park.

Meals on Wheels weekly menu
Meals on Wheels offers take-out lunch at the Sweet Home Community Center to seniors over 60 at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The Senior Center serves a separate lunch on Wednesdays.
Suggested donation is $3.50. All meals are served with milk, coffee or tea upon request and diabetic desserts are available on request.
The menu on Friday, June 25, is teriyaki chicken sandwich or sloppy joe on a hamburger bun, whole kernel corn, broccoli, cauliflower and craisin salad, seasonal fresh fruit.
The menu on Monday, June 28, is beef mushroom steak or pork roast, both with gravy, garlic whipped potatoes, glazed carrots, dill bread and chocolate cake with frosting.
The menu on Tuesday, June 29, is tuna or chicken salad half sandwich on whole wheat bread, chicken pasta soup, cremay coleslaw and mandarin oranges.
