Museum opening after winter break
East Linn Museum will open to visitors starting Thursday, April 1, at 746 Long St.
The museum features a wide range of exhibits representing various eras and aspects of east Linn County history.
Admission is free, though donations are accepted.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursdays through Saturdays. Visitors are asked to wear masks and maintain social distancing.

Rotary to hold Easter drive-thru
Sweet Home Rotary Club will host an Easter Egg Drive Thru event starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at City Hall, 3225 Main St.
The event will last as long as supplies hold out. Participation is limited to ages 12 and under.
Easter drive-by planned at Elks
Sweet Home Elkettes will hold an Easter Drive-By from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 3, at the Elks Lodge, 440 Osage St.
Look for the dancing bunny to receive a goody bag.
Republicans plan Easter egg hunt
Linn County Republicans are holding an Easter Egg Hunt fundraiser at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at a location in Sweet Home.
More than 2,500 plastic eggs will be available to participants, who will also get a chance to dye real eggs, get a photo with the Easter bunny, color Easter pictures and make an Easter-themed craft to take home.
Cost is $10 per person pre-paid or $20 at the door. Tickets are available at LinnGOP.com/EasterEggHunt. The address will be provided with purchase.
Elkettes plan local
‘Chairity’ Auction
The Sweet Home Elkettes will hold a “Chairity Auction” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3.
Chairs decorated by contestants will be sold at the auction.

Meals on Wheels weekly menu
Meals on Wheels offers take-out lunch at the Sweet Home Community Center to seniors over 60 at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The Senior Center serves a separate lunch on Wednesdays.
Suggested donation is $3.50. All meals are served with milk, coffee or tea upon request and diabetic desserts are available on request.
The menu on Friday, April 2, is roasted turkey with gravy or braised beef, garlic whipped potatoes, green peas and onions, squash bread and poke ’n’ pour cake.
The menu on Monday, April 5, is chicken chile relleno bake or ground beef stew, California blend vegetables, garden vegetable salad, white dinner roll and lemon bar.
The menu on Tuesday, April 6, is beef and black bean chili or chicken tetrazzini, steamed spinach, tossed salad, whole wheat roll and peach crisp.
