of Life Fellowship, across from Sweet Home High School at 1658 Long

St., is serving a free dinner from 12 to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 25.

All

are welcome.

Also,

Home Sweet Home Cafe, at 1333 Main St., will serve Christmas Dinner

Friday from 1 to 4 p.m.

No

one will be turned away. Those who would like to donate may do so.

Suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Proceeds

will go to feed the homeless and local needy families.

LBCC

offers driver

education

Jan. 4

Linn-Benton

Community College is offering driver education courses starting Jan.

4.

The

course includes state-mandated 30 hours of classroom instruction, a

three-hour parent/student orientation at first meeting plus 12 hours

behind-the wheel practice and driver observation.

Cost

for the course is $265 for ages 17 and under, $445 for ages 18 and

over. Students under the age of 18 may qualify for, upon successful

completion of the course, a car skills testing waiver when obtaining

their driver’s license.

on Wheels weekly menu

Meals

on Wheels, also known as Your Table or Ours, offers lunch at the

Sweet Home Community Center to seniors over 60 at noon on Mondays,

Tuesdays and Fridays.The Senior Center serves a separate lunch on

Wednesdays.

First-time

diners are invited to come in and have a free lunch to give it a try.

Suggested

donation is $3.50. All meals are served with milk, coffee or tea

upon request and diabetic desserts are available on request.

No

meal will be served on Friday, Dec. 25, due to Christmas.

The

menu for Monday, Dec. 28 is shoyu chicken or baked ham with orange

glaze, Lyonnaise potatoes, Scandinavian blend vegetables, cracked

wheat bread and pumpkin custard.

The

menu for Tuesday, Dec. 29, is spaghetti with meat sauce or broccoli

omelet bake, country trio vegetables, spinach Romaine salad,

multigrain roll and orange whip.
