Christmas wreaths
available from PEO
PEO Chapter FA members are taking pre-orders for handmade fresh wreaths.
The wreaths will be made on 14-inch frames with fresh local greenery and adorned with pine cones and large fluffy bows.
Cost is $15 each.
They will be available for pickup from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3 at 27745 Riggs Hill Road. Earlier pickup or delivery may be made by special arrangement.

Christmas event
Lebanon’s After Five Connection for women will hold an evening of Christmas Fun for Everyone from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at King’s Coffee House, 661 S. Main St. in Lebanon.
Celebrate with festive carol singing, present-giving and food. Guest speaker Janell Desmond of Lake Oswego will speak on “That is Not the Way My Story Goes.”
All women are invited.

Basic Life Skills
craft fair Dec. 2
The Sweet Home Junior High Basic Life Skills class will hold its fifth annual craft fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at the Sweet Home School District Office.
The event will give students a chance to handle money, interact with customers, show off what they have made and practice social skills. Students will be responsible for handling transactions at their own table.
The event, which is open to the public, will feature items made by students from multiple districts. Items on display for sale will include wreaths, jewelry, beaded angels, bookmarks and Christmas ornaments.

Living Well classes
at Sr. Center Dec. 2
Samaritan Health Services will offer a free six-week Living Well workshop on Wednesdays from Dec. 2 through Jan. 13, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Sweet Home Senior Center, 880 18th Ave.
Participants will learn exercises, nutrition tips and how to feel better about life, as well as how to deal with pain and fatigue, decrease depression and anxiety, manage stress, get better sleep, improve nutrition and fitness and set and meet goals.
Developed at Stanford University, Living Well workshops are designed to help people with ongoing health conditions live better lives.
Each participant will receive a copy of the book Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions. Different topics are discussed each week, and the workshop is facilitated by specially trained volunteer leaders.

Donations needed for kids shopping
The Home Sweet Home for Christmas Committee will host a Kids Store on Saturday, Dec. 12, which will provide the opportunity for any child to shop for free for parents and siblings.
The committee is collecting new, unwrapped items that can be sold for less than $10, for children through adults. Donations are needed by Dec. 4 and can be dropped off at Trash to Treasure, 1023 Main St. or in a drop box at Santiam Variety Store in the Safeway Plaza. The committee also needs wrapping paper, tape and Christmas bags.

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels, also known as Your Table or Ours, offers lunch at the Sweet Home Community Center to seniors over 60 at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The Senior Center serves a separate lunch on Wednesdays.
First-time diners are invited to come in and have a free lunch to give it a try.
Suggested donation is $3.50. All meals are served with milk, coffee or tea upon request and diabetic desserts are available on request.
No lunch will be served Friday, Nov. 27, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
The menu for Monday, Nov. 30, is hearty chicken stew or western beef goulash, green peas, pickled beets, wheat bread and spiced pears.
The menu for Tuesday, Dec. 1, is lima beans and ham or chicken pomodoro, country trio vegetables, spinach Romaine salad, herb roll and chocolate chip bar.
