Volunteers needed
at E. Linn Museum
The East Linn Museum will be closed during the months of January and February.
During this time volunteers will be catching up on several projects, including improvements to the mining exhibit. Special visits can be arranged by calling the museum at (541) 367-4580 or by e-mailing [email protected].
The number of hours and days the museum will be open beginning in March is dependent upon the number of volunteers available. In years past the museum had a volunteer director and such a person would be welcomed now, but there is opportunity for those who only have one day a month to give.

Dr. Griggs, an assistant professor specializing in forage and grassland agronomy in the Division of Plant and Soil Sciences at West Virginia University in Morgantown, is interviewing for a forage-livestock assistant professor position in the Department of Animal and Rangeland Sciences at OSU.
All are invited to attend, as this will be a good opportunity to learn more about the forages and livestock industry and the cooperative work being done by scientists, practitioners, and educators.
Dr. Griggs will emphasize research and teaching that blends forage and livestock science concepts and industries in Oregon (and beyond) for a successful program that addresses important issues while optimizing management of available resources for beneficial returns. He will also discuss how he would go about assessing program needs with students, stakeholders, and peers.
There will be time for questions and discussion during the program. Directly after the seminar, time is set aside for stakeholders to visit with Dr. Griggs. Other appointments are available upon request.
