Steelheaders to hear from fishing guide

The Mid-Valley Chapter of the NW Steelheaders will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Albany Senior Center, 489 Water Ave. NW, Albany.

Kyle Miller with Fins and Scales Guide Service will demonstrate bead fishing techniques. Miller has been fishing Oregon waters since he was a child, landing his first steelhead on the Santiam River when he was 6 years old.

He specializes in salmon and steelhead on the Alsea, Columbia, Siletz and Santiam river systems. His website is http://www.finsandscales.net

The meeting will also include a presentation of the Wounded Warrior Project by Sgt. Major Kim Fox and the chapter’s upcoming “Mid-Valley Steelheaders Wounded Warrior Fishing Day.”
