Albany Visitors Association announces winners of 16th annual photo contest

The Albany Visitors Association recently announced the winners of its 16th annual photography contest.

This year’s crop included Sweet Home residents Donna Short, who placed first in “Events” and “People” and second in the “Landmarks” categories, and Dave Maestas, who took third in “Events” and “Landmarks.”

This year’s contest saw more than 100 photos, which the AVA uses for its official Albany Visitors Guide, social media and online calendar. Prizes included certificates and gift cards for champion, reserve champion, people’s choice, student and the top three placewinners in six categories.

All entries can be seen onscreen at Albany’s Pix Theatre prior to main features and at albanyvisitors.com.
