A homeless man was found dead Thursday morning, Dec. 8, in the camp behind the old Sweet Home City Hall.
Sgt. Ryan Cummings said Obed Pizarro, 36, was discovered by a fellow camper, who called medics, “who determined that he was deceased.”
Police responded at 9:59 a.m.
“He was deceased Wednesday night or Thursday morning,” Cummings said. “There was no indication of any crime at the scene.”
He said the medical examiner arrived and “conducted their processes” and the department is waiting for results to come back from toxicology.
“There is no confirmed cause of death,” Cummings said.
