In response to Oregon’s burn season, the Linn County Fire Defense Board has asked residents to become familiar with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s open and agricultural burning guidelines.
Burn season, which is subject to change based on fire conditions, usually runs from Oct. 1 to Dec. 15 and March 1 to June 15 each year. The board, which consists of Linn County fire chiefs and chief officers, monitors and administers any necessary changes.
