August 8

2:49 p.m. – Deputies responded to illegal parking situation near Canyon Creek Road and Highway 20. Area is closed to public, but it appeared someone had cut trees to enable them to drive around the barricade. Investigation continuing.

5:53 p.m. – Deputy patrolling Giustina property located illegal camp on 430 road, off Canyon Creek Road. Family was contacted and they broke their camp down.

7:33 p.m. – Hope Carlene Panages, 45, of Sweet Home, arrested for failure to appear on a warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court, and issued criminal citation to appear, after she was contacted by deputies while sitting in the middle of the roadway in the 1000 block of Pleasant Valley Road, forcing vehicles to swerve around her. She was taken to Lebanon Community Hospital on a Police Officer Hold and evaluated for mental health concerns.

August 9 

11:38 a.m. – Single-vehicle crash reported in 42600 block of Marks Ridge Drive. No injuries reported. Tow arranged by owner, who was not identified.

1:18 p.m. – Deputy patrolling CTC property, in 44800 block of Old Hufford Drive, located illegal camp. Adult female was cooperative, said she understood she needed to leave.

1:27 p.m. – Caller reported a break-in and theft, 840 block of 6th Ave. Report taken for second-degree burglary and second-degree theft. Approximate value: $200.

1:32 p.m. – Caller reported a July 21 generator theft from Hoy’s Hardware, 3041 Main St. Officer responded; report taken for second-degree theft X2.

5:25 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle crashing into the side of the NAPA Auto Parts building, 899 Main St. Larry Dean Brown, 72, cited for careless driving.

6:15 p.m. – Deputy contacted male camped near Milepost 18 on Quartzville Road. Male has been in that area “often throughout the summer,” according to Sheriff’s Office. He was made aware of 14-day limitation.

6:42 p.m. – Justin Rhoads. 31, of Sweet Home, cited for driving while suspended, 44200 block Hwy. 20. Arrested 15 minutes later for trespassing on CTC property during extreme fire danger. 44800 block Hwy. 20/Canyon Creek Road.

August 10

11:26 a.m. – Caller reported he was concerned that a person he had never met in person was being harmed. Deputy responded to 27000 block of Scott Mountain Road, determined it was scam attempt to get money from caller. Report taken.

12:06 p.m. – Caller reported his license plates had been stolen between 9:30 p.m. the previous night and the time of the call, 1400 block of 60th Ave. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.

12:42 p.m. – Caller reported a physical fight between 4-5 people, 1500 block of Main St. Officer responded; report taken for second-degree disorderly conduct. Denise Rochelle Burrow, 54, was cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of meth possession, failure to appear on an original charge of a citation X8, failure to appear on an original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, and failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation X9.

1:38 p.m. – Deputies investigated death of male at his home-made, A-frame residence on large compound-like property in 43700 block of Wiley Creek Drive. Investigation determined he died of apparent self-inflicted hanging. Victim identified as Daniel Pope, 27. Investigation ongoing by Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office. Report taken.

7:05 p.m. – David Duane Phillips, 65, arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for meth possession and failure to appear on an original second degree charge, 2400 block of Long St.

10:08 p.m. – Steven Kenneth Stitt, 36, arrested for third-degree theft and third-degree criminal mischief, 1200 block of Main St.

August 11

8:09 a.m. – Caller reported a break-in and customer-vehicle damage in an attempt to remove its catalytic converter, 5300 block of Locust St. Report taken for second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief.

11:53 a.m. – Aaron Robert Baldinger, 38, cited and released for third-degree theft, 620 block of Main St.

12:20 p.m. – Anthony Wade Holden, 31, arrested for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Albany Police Department.

1:03 p.m. – Citation issued to Tessa Pimentel, 22, of Sweet Home, 100 block of 8th Ave., for dog trespassing on private property and failure to license.

3:06 p.m. – Nathaniel Adderly, 25, of Sweet Home, arrested for reckless driving after crashing his motorcycle at 110mph, 39600 block of Mountain Home Drive. Adderley said he was going home at 110 mph when he lost control. He was taken to the hospital by a private party and hospital called to notify. Report taken.

10:14 p.m. – Kellie Ann Hesson, 54, cited and released for failure to appear on an original charge of first-degree criminal trespass and failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal trespass X3, 3020 block of Main St.

August 12

12:40 a.m. – Joseph Lee Harrold, 45, arrested on a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Olathe, Kansas warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of aggravated strongarm domestic violence, 1650 block of Long St.

1:57 a.m. – Treyton Lucero, 20, of Sweet Home, cited for speeding, 85/55, 28400 block of Highway 20/Dew Road.

7:42 a.m. – Caller reported vehicle theft; 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 stolen from driveway in 31800 block of Lawrence St., in Lebanon, between midnight and 4 a.m. Vehicle was recovered at 4:08 p.m. in 29700 block Pleasant Valley Road/McDowell Creek Dr. Report taken.

August 13

9:46 p.m. – Luke Kenneth Dale Buehner, 37, cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of harassment, 28100 block of Riggs Hill Road. Cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of contempt of court and failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation X3.

3:03 p.m. – Caller reported sand placed into the radiator of a vehicle, 43000 block of North River Drive. Total damage: $5,500 to engine and radiator. Report taken.

August 14

11:03 a.m. – Timothy Dean Morgan, 20, cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of animal abandonment, 1950 block of Main St.

3:32 p.m. – Shawn Jeffery Sherill, 52, cited for driving with a suspended license, 1800 block of Willow St. Cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for theft of services.

4:20 p.m. – Caller reported that rope broke and boat in moorage struck another boat, breaking a window. 1400 block of 60th Ave. Report taken.

6:57 p.m. – Colton Rictor, 20, of Sweet Home, arrested for theft by receiving items including a $1,000 Samsung Galaxy and a wallet containing bank cards, ID and other miscellaneous items. Value of stolen items: over $1,000. 44400 block of North River Drive. Report taken.

August 15

5:05 a.m. – Timothy James Shehan, 27, arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

9:14 a.m. – Dustin Andrew Clarneau, 46, arrested for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Albany Police Department.

1:16 p.m. – Caller reported a wallet theft from vehicle, 1200 block of 40th Ave. Officer responded; report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, first-degree theft, and fraudulent use of a credit card.

4:04 p.m. – Caller reported that a female with “mental issues” broke their window and was injured. Female was transported to hospital for treatment. Further details unavailable.

5:10 p.m. – Christopher Michael Lindner, 49, of Sweet Home, arrested on Linn County Justice Court probation violation warrant after trespass report on Cascade Timber Consulting property in 45000 block of Hwy. 20. He was cited and released, and warned for trespassing. Report taken.

5:34 p.m. – Kimberly Ann Bachmeyer, 43, cited and released on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for second-degree theft, 1300 block of Clark Mill Road.

6:09 p.m. – Nathan Daniel Brown, 46, arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree theft, Corvallis Police Department.

6:47 p.m. – Camella Marie Boyd, 67, cited and released on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving, west city limits, Hwy. 228 eastbound.

7:15 p.m. – Angelina Delgado, 18, of Corvallis, cited for speeding, 93/55, 28600 block Hwy. 20.

7:49 p.m. – Caller reported a man ran his car through a fence and took items, 1300 block of Clark Mill Road. Officer responded; report taken for second-degree theft. Approximate loss of value: $550, and second degree criminal mischief. Approximate cost of damages: $500.
