12:33 a.m. – Kirk Ferguson Jr., 40, of Sweet Home, arrested for initiating a false report, disorderly conduct, after officers from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a report of a male with a gunshot wound lying in the roadway, 900 block of Pleasant Valley Road/North River Drive. After further investigation, law enforcement learned that the male had not been shot and had no injuries or trauma. Report taken.
4:40 a.m. – Caller found wallet and keys, 14th Ave/Hawthorne St. Item placed in Property.
7:59 a.m. – Caller found a stray dog, 1950 Main St. Dog placed in kennel.
8:37 a.m. – Caller reports a syringe was found near the fence, 3210 Main St. Officer responded; the item was disposed of.
9:16 a.m. – Shane Wells cited and released on multiple warrants after a deputy found him camping at McDowell Creek Park, 43000 block of McDowell Creek Drive. He was advised that the park was closed from dusk to dawn.
9:35 a.m. – Shane William Wells, 45, arrested for failure to appear on an original charge of failing to report as a sex offender, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
9:44 a.m. – Caller reported that his weed eater and gas cans were stolen from his truck the previous evening, 4300 block of Main St. Officer responded; a report was taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft.
1:53 p.m. – Deputy responded to mediate landlord/tenant issues over allowing people on property in 27100 block of Rowell Hill Road.
2:56 p.m. – Caller found a debit card at the Jamboree grounds, 1641 Long St. Item placed in Property.
3:01 p.m. – Matthew Carl Martin, 31, arrested on Linn County Jail warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, and failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County Jail.
3:46 p.m. – Bambi Jean Funk, 39, cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for contempt of court, 1900 block of Main St.

August 3
8:08 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a catalytic converter, 2300 block of Main St. Report taken for first-degree theft. Loss of value: approximately $1,500.
10:52 a.m. – Caller reported someone living under Bates Bridge, 40800 block of McDowell Creek Drive. Sheriff’s Office unable to locate individual.
1:29 p.m. – Bambi Jean Funk, 39, cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for driving under the influence of intoxicants, 1900 block of Main St.
3:08 p.m. – Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in the 1400 block of 60th Ave. Caller was upset that another park user was swimming with his wife and kids in a spot the caller wanted to use. Words were exchanged and the caller left. Caller was upset that the other male was not kicked out.
8:04 p.m. – Antonia Coddington, 31, arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for unlawful possession of meth X2, failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation, and failure to appear on an original second-degree charge. Arrested on Oregon State Parole Board warrant for absconding parole. Tye King, 39, arrested on Oregon State Parole Board warrant for absconding parole. Terry Herbert, 44, arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for first-degree theft, second-degree theft, unlawful possession of meth X2, being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon and failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation. Cited on Albany Municipal Court warrant for second-degree theft and possession of a restricted weapon by a felon. 10:36 a.m. – Kyle Alexander Richards, 28, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of fraudulent use of a credit card, failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, and failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft X2, Washington County Jail.
11:37 a.m. – Bike and bike rack stolen from Cascadia State Park, 45900 block of Hwy. 20. Investigation ongoing. Estimated value $800.
12:19 p.m. – Jamerson Ring, 46, cited and released on Florence Municipal Court warrant for driving under the influence of intoxicants, 1930 block of Main St.

August 5
2:27 a.m. – Roseanna Lynn Simpson, 51, cited and released on Albany Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for probation violation, 1300 block of Clark Mill Road.
9:04 a.m. – Sheriff’s Office assisted detectives and family members with getting them access to Weyerhaeuser property in the 42300 block of Upper Calapooia Drive to visit the site where a missing hiker’s body was recovered after nine years.
10:39 a.m. – Deputies assisted county Code Enforcement, Environmental Health, electrical inspector and housing inspector with a walk-through of a home and property in the 27900 block of Sunny Valley Lane. Citations issued for nuisance excessive junk, temporary use code occupied RV, and discharge of sewage onto ground surface. Three subjects cited to appear at Lebanon Justice Court.
11:08 a.m. – Caller reported hearing a grinding noise in the middle of the night and witnessing someone running from his property, 1270 Evergreen Lane. Caller noticed his catalytic converter halfway cut. Officer responded, report taken. Approximate damage: $200.
11:32 a.m. – Caller reported criminal mischief at Sweet Home Charter School, 28700 block of Liberty Road. Juveniles broke into school property and caused damage. Report taken.
12:41 p.m. – Caller reports cards stolen from 7-Eleven, 2405 Main St. Officer responded, report taken. Loss of value: approximately $40.00.

1:45 p.m. – Caller reported a detained shoplifter, 1540 Main St. Safeway. Burt Allen, 65, arrested for second-degree theft and trespassed from Safeway.
August 6
9:44 a.m. – Amanda Dawn Teoli, 45, cited and released on Albany Municipal Court Cite and Release warrant for theft of services, 4600 block of Main St. Also cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured.
10:15 a.m. – Ronald Drury, 60, cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to report as a sex offender, 3000 block of Main St. Arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to report as a sex offender.
4:03 p.m. – Diana Lynn Hall, 60, cited and released on Brownsville Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of a citation, 1500 block of Main St. Cited and released on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft. Also cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured.
6:34 p.m. – Deputy patrolling 44700 block Quartzville Road was flagged down by a motorist who smelled smoke near second bridge. Deputy located small fire burning unattended in trees on water’s edge in pit filled with plastic trash and broken bottles. Pit was about 6 feet in diameter. It appeared that it was from night before and rekindled. Oregon Department of Forestry personnel responded, soaked the fire pit.
6:34 p.m. – Deputy patrolled 44900 block of Quartzville Road checked on illegal camps, found one on Army Corps of Engineers property. Recent destruction of popular illegal camping spots on Campbell Global land was “much needed and effective,” according to Sheriff’s Log.
8:45 p.m. – Caller reported lost gun, 600 block 43rd Ave. Further details unavailable. Report taken.
10:57 p.m. – Deputy patrolling 43900 block North River Drive found motorhome and car parked, with evidence the occupants were setting up to camp. When they spotted deputy, a male started up a motorcycle and fled the area. Female with motorhome told deputy it was her son’s father, who had come to get the boy. She was warned for camping and deputy waited till she vacated area.
August 7
7:56 a.m. – RC Jakob Harley Phillips arrested on Deschutes County Circuit Court warrants for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle X3, eluding the police, possession of a stolen vehicle and second-degree theft, 1400 block of Nandina St. Lauraina Ann Dearden arrested on Crook County Circuit Court warrant for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Cited and released due to lack of female beds at jail.
9:34 a.m. – Caller reported a stolen vehicle, 1400 block of 60th Ave. Officer responded; report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
9:39 a.m. – John Paul Short, 37, cited and released on Albany Municipal warrant for contempt of court, 6200 block of Main St. Stephanie Lee Short, 37, arrested on Albany Municipal warrant for contempt of court. Cited and released on Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court.
10:04 a.m. – Deputy responded to report of vehicle locked behind Upper Calapooia main gate in 44400 block Upper Calapooia Dr., Milepost 8.5. When deputy arrived, gate was open and vehicle was gone.
12:04 p.m. – Trespassing reported in 49000 block of Hwy. 20.
12:58 p.m. – Caller was concerned for elderly friend whom she had not heard from in about a week. Investigation revealed elderly friend may have gone camping to escape the heat. 28700 Liberty Road.
3:18 p.m. – Loyd Everett Patten, 54, cited and released on Lebanon Municipal warrant for hit-and-run, 18th Ave. and Main St. Also cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured.
4:36 p.m. – Christopher Wayne Holloway cited and released on Albany Municipal warrant for driving with a suspended license misdemeanor, 41000 block of Marks Ridge.
4:37 p.m. – Ryan Helms cited for unlawful parking after, according to Sheriff’s Log, parking directly under “No Parking” sign posted at second bridge, 44700 block Quartzville Road.
5:29 p.m. – David Arroyo-Sandoval arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of harassment, Lebanon Police Department.
5:29 p.m. – Ember Ann McAlpin, 37, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, Lebanon Police Department.
