9:52 a.m. – Callers reported a motor-vehicle crash at Long St. and Hwy. 228. Officers responded and contacted the parties involved, Alan Mishler, 40, and Brandon Gregory, 27. Information was exchanged. Damage: more than $2,500.

11:29 p.m. – Levi Newberg, 30, of Sweet Home, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured after being stopped for equipment violations in 29900 block Santiam Highway. He was subsequently cited for third-degree theft warrant out of Albany and failure to appear warrant out of Lebanon. Report taken.

11:57 a.m. – Callers reported a crash at 12th Ave. and Main St. An officer responded and operators, Ross Sadler, 69, and John Kunz-man, 73, exchanged info. Damage: more than $2,500.

12:19 p.m. – Caller reported theft of several high-value items over last few months from residence in 28400 block Pleasant Valley Road. Details have not been released. Report taken.

3:13 p.m. – Caller reported theft of catalytic converter valued at $1,200, 45000 block Quartzville Road. Report taken.

4:14 p.m. – A caller reports finding a drone at Northside Park. Officer responded; the item was placed in Property.

7:38 p.m. – Sara Collins, 46, was cited for speeding, 70/45, with no valid operator’s license and driving uninsured, 3000 block of Main St.

9:14 p.m. – Single-vehicle non-life-threatening injury crash reported in 36300 block Rock Hill Drive, Lebanon. Frank Stavano, 72, of Sweet Home, struck a deer and was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center. Report taken.

2:22 a.m. – KC Everett Merle Holt, 38, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct and failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft. Arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation. Arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of meth possession and criminal citation X5, and failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, unlawful cutting of forestry products, and criminal citation X3. Arrested on Coos County Circuit Court warrant for unlawful possession of meth, 23rd Ave. and Long St.

10:17 a.m. – Caller reported that her bike was stolen at Murphy Mill, 6000 block of Main St. An officer responded and a report was taken for second-degree theft. Approximate value $100.

11:20 a.m. – Caller entered the police department to turn in a phone found on Poplar St. The item was placed in Property.

3:02 p.m. – Caller entered the police department to turn in a debit card found at Wiley Creek Park. The item was placed in Property.

4:16 p.m. – Caller reported possible illegal camper, who turned out to be neighbor. 41300 block Sun Lane.

7:35 p.m. – Caller found a debit card at 22nd Ave and Main St. The item was placed in Property.

11:12 p.m. – Robert Michael Butterfield, 33, arrested for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft and failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Albany Police Department.

July 14

6:49 a.m. – Caller reported a male stealing an item from a neighbor’s yard in the 1200 block of 41st Ave. The caller confronted the man, who returned the item. An officer responded, and a report was taken for second-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass. Estimated value: $125.

1:25 p.m. – Caller reports theft at Bi-Mart, 1980 Main St. An officer responded, Zoe Railyn O’Brien, 21, was cited and released for second-degree theft.

2:54 p.m. – Caller located a wallet in the 1500 block of Main St. The item was placed in Property.

3:18 p.m. – Caller reported several hundred dollars worth of tools stolen from his Jeep, 45300 block Hwy. 20/Menear’s Bend. Wanted documentation.

4:31 p.m. – A 16-year-old female turned herself in on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for being a minor in possession of marijuana item and being a minor in possession of tobacco, 1950 Main St.

4:56 p.m. – Danielle Gibson-Johnson of Sweet Home cited for two moving violations on Highway 20 near Santiam Terrace.

5:29 p.m. – Fire at location, 46th Ave. and Airport Road. An officer responded, and a report was taken for reckless burning. Juveniles were referred to the Juvenile Department.

6:57 p.m. – A caller reported that a neighbor was playing loud music. A deputy informed the caller that the county does not have a noise ordinance. 43100 block North River Drive.

8:10 p.m. – Shauna Ray Harden, 27, cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of fleeing or attempting to elude police, a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for driving with a suspended license, a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of meth possession, failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft and failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation X3. 9:17 p.m. – Callers reported a physical disturbance over stolen property, 1300 block of Main St. Ricky Paul Nelson, 20, cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of identity theft and giving false information to a police officer, failure to appear on original charges of unauthorized use of motor vehicle and second-degree theft, and failure to appear on an original charge of possession of heroin and meth.

10:46 p.m. – A caller reported that a 2006 Chevy Silverado was broken into between noon and 6:30 p.m. in 47300 block Quartzville Road. Front passenger window was broken and a bag of miscellaneous clothing valued at $300 was taken. No known suspects. Report taken.

7:57 a.m. – A caller reported a theft that occurred the previous evening, Sweet Home Fire Station. An officer responded and a report was taken.

12:30 p.m. – Jamie Crystal Glass, 28, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

1:35 p.m. – Jeffrey Davis, 55, was cited and released for second-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass, 3200 block of Long St.

2:26 p.m. – A caller reported that a woman struck her and threw her to the ground, 1300 block of Hawthorne St. An officer responded and contacted both parties. Ashley Fagan, 30, was cited and released for fourth-degree assault.

7:51 p.m. – Caller reported a physical fight between females, Sankey Park. An officer responded and took a report for fourth-degree assault and second-degree disorderly conduct. An investigation continues.

8:32 p.m. – Cheryl Lee Bowser was cited for failure to obey traffic control device in the 1500 block of Main St.

8:57 p.m. – A caller reported that a customer found a phone on the side of the road in the 2400 block of Main St. An officer responded and placed the item in Property.

11:11 p.m. – An officer found damaged plants at the Sweet Home Post Office, 1303 Long St. A report was taken for second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft. Value: $80.

July 16

12:17 a.m. – Gilbert Alonzo Martinez, 45, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 22nd Ave. and Main St.

12:20 a.m. – Jett Shae Harry, 21, was cited and released for second-degree disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer. Marick Allen Tyree Best, 20, was arrested for fourth-degree assault and second-degree disorderly conduct, 2400 block of Main St.

6:50 a.m. – Caller reported finding a syringe on the west side of tracks on Ninth Ave. An officer responded and the property was seized.

11:22 a.m. – A caller reported theft of wedding engagement band, 48800 block Hwy. 20, Cascadia. Victim wanted information documented. No further details available.

1:23 p.m. – A caller reported a man trespassing on his property and moving his barriers, 1400 block of Main St. An officer responded. A report was taken for second-degree criminal trespass.

2:45 p.m. – Kandy Thornbrough, 60, of Sweet Home, cited for no operator’s license, 28000 block Hwy. 20.

5:10 p.m. – Dustin Andrew Clarneau was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, Lebanon Police Department.

6:09 a.m. – Caller reported a smashed vehicle window and requested an officer to help her check the grounds for any other vandalism, 2500 block of Long St. An officer responded and a report was taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree criminal mischief. 6:53 a.m. – A caller reported a vehicle break-in, 960 block of 23rd Court. An officer responded, and a report was taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft. Approximate loss of value: $151.

12:51 p.m. – Caller reported pre-teens not wearing life jackets while jumping into river, Cascadia State Park/49200 block Cascadia Drive.

1:17 p.m. – Earl Dodge, 27, of Sweet Home, cited and released for warrant, cited for possession of controlled substance – less than one gram. 1000 block Pleasant Valley Road. Report taken.

4:25 p.m. – Adult female (black and white) border collie mix located running at large at McKercher Park, 37800 Hwy. 228, according to Sheriff’s Office.

5:12 p.m. – Caller reported vehicle burglary, 40800 block McDowell Creek Drive/Pleasant Valley Road. Window was broken and miscellaneous things taken from inside. Estimated loss value less than $100. Report taken.

6:52 p.m. – Citation issued to vehicle parked in what Sheriff’s log describes as “clearly marked ‘Sheriff Parking Only’” spot at Calkins Boat Ramp.

9:31 p.m. – Kevin Howton, 39, of arrested for launching illegal fireworks after Sheriff’s deputy patrolling Quartzville Road spotted boat launching mortars on Green Peter Reservoir. When boat returned to Whitcomb Creek Park, Howton was issued citation and park exclusion.

July 18

1:21 a.m. – Deputies responded to report of laser pointer being shined at oncoming vehicles. Deputies spoke to witnesses who advised that suspects had left. Further description unavailable. 43400 block Marks Ridge/North River drives.

9:07 a.m. – Caller reported theft of electric bicycle from campsite at River Bend Campground, 45900 block Hwy. 20. Value $750. Report taken.

9:38 a.m. – Deputies took a report of a stolen vehicle from 29900 block Fairview Road. Under investigation. Report taken.

9:38 a.m. – A caller reported that a man punched her in the face, 1100 block of 55th Ave. An officer responded. Calvin Alvin Ames, 55, was arrested for domestic violence/sixth-degree assault.

12:12 p.m. – Callers reported people parking single vehicles in spots marked “Boat Trailer Parking Only” at Calkins Boat Ramp, 44500 block Quartzville Road/Hwy. 20. Multiple violators located and cited.

2:30 p.m. – Kaby Patricia Keith-Heidt, 25, was arrested on Jackson County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of distribution of a controlled substance, heroin.
