Renters must pay their July rent to avoid facing eviction, announced Gov. Kate Brown at a June 11 press conference, but financial assistance is available.
Under authority given to her as governor, Brown issued an executive order last year to impose a temporary moratorium on residential evictions for nonpayment. That moratorium ends June 30.
“This means that renters must pay their July rent, or their landlords can evict them for nonpayment,” she said.
