Sheriff’s Marine Patrol deputies rescued a mother and child Friday afternoon after their kayak overturned on Foster Lake when two personal watercraft went by. According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were able to pull Kandice Spinney, 36, whose city of residence wasn’t available, and her 3-year-old son, their craft and some of their gear out of the water and return them to shore.
