April 6

5:05 a.m. – Patrick Charles Hash arrested on Sweet Home warrant for third-degree theft, Albany.

April 5

1:08 a.m. – Officer located juveniles out past curfew, 1300 block of Clark Mill. All were counseled and warned for curfew violation. Two were released to family members and one went to a friend’s house with permission from a parent.

1:12 a.m. – Chavana Ann Bowser, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany.

2:49 a.m. – Taylor Mespelt, 19, cited and released in field for providing false information to a police officer; minor in possession of alcohol; Linn County warrants for probation violation on original charges of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, first-degree theft, attempt to commit robbery and possession of heroin; Albany warrants for failure to appear on two original charges of second-degree theft and original charge of first-degree criminal trespass; and Sweet Home warrant for second-degree theft, 1200 block of 46th.

8:59 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of two bicycles valued at $3,850, 27900 block of Meridian Heights Loop. Report taken.

7:08 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog jumped his fence and took one of his chickens, 1000 block of 42nd. Caller was able to get the chicken back, but it was injured. Officer contacted and warned the owner of the dog for dog at large.

April 4

9:54 a.m. – Cody Isaiah Milligan, 23, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of harassment, Lebanon.

11:10a.m. – Caller found a wallet behind 1439 Main St., Rio Theatre. Placed in found property.

12:14 p.m. – Jeromy Louis Matlock, 34, arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), 320 Juniper St. Transported to Linn County Jail after transport to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital for clearance.

4:20 p.m. – Caller reported that a male left without paying for a very large cart of groceries, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Report taken. Loss valued at $400.

5:12 p.m. – Jenny Ann Martin, 43, taken into custody on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Coos County.

5:39 p.m. – Jay Boyd Marsh, 55, arrested for second-degree theft in connection to the reported theft at Safeway at 4:20 p.m. Cited and released.

6:07 p.m. – Caller found a purse at Green Peter Dam and turned it in at Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main St. Property seized and Linn County Sheriff’s Office notified.

10:37 p.m. – Beau Ryan Hall, 24, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for second-degree theft, Albany.

10:37 p.m. – Christian Barger, 22, arrested on Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charge of fourth-degree assault and probation violation on original charge of fourth-degree assault, railroad off 53rd Avenue. Caller had reported a male walking west on the railroad and yelling curse words. Officer contacted two males, advised them of the complaint and warned them for trespassing.

April 3

2:08 a.m. – Male Juvenile referred to Juvenile Department for curfew violation, 1200 block of 22nd. Released to mother.

10:09 a.m. – A 16-year-old male referred to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of tobacco, 3100 block of long. Caller had reported catching her son with cigarettes.

11:48 a.m. – Andrew Scott Lacount, 55, cited for failure to obey a traffic control device, 1400 block of 53rd.

12:31 p.m. – Caller reported his vehicle had been damaged overnight, 28400 block of Pleasant Valley. Report taken.

3:02 p.m. – Caller brought keys to the Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main St., that the caller found at Lewis Creek Boat Ramp. Placed in found property.

7:15 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor had her cat in a live trap, 700 block of 28th. Officer responded. Caller had her cat back. Caller advised of options.

8:06 p.m. – Report taken for an assault, 40400 block of Piper.

10:08 p.m. – Steven Douglas Gardner, 37, arrested for driving under the influence, 5th and Elm. Cited and released.

April 2

2:47 a.m. – A 14-year-old female and a 15-year-old male referred to Juvenile Department for curfew violation, O’Reilly Auto Parts. Children released to parents.

3:31 a.m. – Frank Thompson II, 45, cited and released in field on Linn County warrant for possession of methamphetamine, and Amanda Stafford, 44, cited and released in field on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct and failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 2200 block of Long.

5:13 a.m. – Caller reported two subjects entered his garage and took gas cans, 4300 block of Citabria. Report taken. Loss valued at $20.

12:42 p.m. – Caller heard a male yelling then a dog yelping, 12th and Nandina. Caller was concerned the male was abusing the dog. Officer contacted the male, who said the dog was misbehaving. He smacked it once with the leash. The dog did not appear to have any injuries. No further action.

1:38 p.m. – Andrew James Freitag, 19, turned himself in on a Marion County warrant for second-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

2:14 p.m. – David Sterling Schwan, 30, cited and released in field for third-degree theft, 621 Main St., Thriftway.

2:21 p.m. – Jamie Daniel Carpenter, 43, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 54th and Main.

4:41 p.m. – Officer noticed that someone tampered with the lock on a shed, 1140 12th Ave., old City Hall. Report taken.

10:20 p.m. – Anthony Shawn Reeder, 52, cited and released in field on Jefferson County warrant for dangerous drugs, 3000 block of Main.

10:50 p.m. – Meagan Alice Grajeda, 20, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lake County.

April 1

1:24 a.m. – Caller reported hearing a noise in his garage, 42900 block of Green River Drive. When he went to investigate, he saw a person’s arm reaching into his garage through an open window. The person fled and nothing appeared to have been taken.

7:35 a.m. – Caller reported two of her vehicles were entered and items stolen, 1200 block of Linden. Report taken. Loss valued at $300 to $400. Vehicles had been left unlocked.

2:19 p.m. – Kiril Efimovich Martusheff, 37, turned himself in and was cited and released in Sweet Home Police Department parking lot, 1950 Main St., on Sweet Home warrant for second-degree criminal mischief.

2:21 p.m. – Caller reported a suitcase left at 958 Main St., Sweet Home Car Wash. Placed in found property.

5:33 p.m. – Caller reported a motor home stolen in the past month, 42200 block of Ames Creek. Caller said the motor home was last seen in the Albany area. Report taken.

6:40 p.m. – Caller reported his friend’s boyfriend destroyed the inside the caller’s van. It happened somewhere in Sweet Home, but it was unknown where. Officer contacted the caller, who refused to provide further details. He wanted to know if he had a potential criminal case. Officer informed the caller that he could not advise whether the case was potentially criminal if no further information was given.

7:46 p.m. – Officer located an abandoned vehicle blocking roadway, 4400 block of Airport. Vehicle towed.

March 31

10:27 a.m. – Veronica Lynn Schmidt, 30, cited for driving while suspended, Larch and 22nd.

11:02 a.m. – Caller reported that a female stole his vehicle, 2400 block of Long. Information noted at the time. Caller advised to register the vehicle.

1:01 p.m. – Caller reported items stolen from her garage, 900 block of Oak Terrace. Information noted at caller’s request.

2:18 p.m. – Oregon State Police reported a weapons denial, 1980 Main St., Bi-Mart. Investigation continuing.

3:36 p.m. – Caller reported a syringe in the middle of the road, Juniper and 27th. Officer unable to locate.

4:41 p.m. – Caller reported dogs in the roadway, Main and 55th. Second caller reported she was attacked by loose dogs. Officer contacted a male who had taken the dogs inside. Officer contacted the caller who was attacked. No injuries to her or her dog.

5:56 p.m. – Caller reported a male lying in the roadway, Long and Holley. Officer responded. The male had tripped and hit his head. He had minor bleeding. Medics responded at the male’s request. Male was fine and walking around. He left in the care of a friend.

6:55 p.m. – Osker Marc Noel, 63, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on a criminal driving charge, Corvallis.

8 p.m. – Caller reported a motorcycle crash with a vehicle, 40600 block of Upper Calapooia. One male transported to the hospital.

10:48 p.m. – Bryce McGowan, 36, cited and released in field on Clackamas County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of providing false information to a police officer, failure to appear on a criminal citation and two additional counts of failure to appear, 2405 Main St., 7-Eleven.

March 30

7:45 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke the windows in his pickup, 900 block of Park. Report taken.

9:20 a.m. – Caller reported purchasing a firearm through an online dealer but never receiving the firearm, 1200 block of Nandina. Investigation continuing.

9:59 a.m. – Caller reported property stolen from a vacant residence, 44700 block of North River. Report taken.

10:42 a.m. – Deborah Ann Stark, 65, cited for failure to register vehicle, 12th and Osage.

11:38 a.m. – Caller found several parts from a generator lying in the parking lot at Ames Creek Storage, 898 Main St. Caller saw two people pushing a generator down the street at about 2 a.m. and believes they were connected. Officer located one item in the described area. Unknown where it came from or what it belonged to.

2:01 p.m. – Caller found a wallet in front of his house, 900 block of 31st. Placed in found property.

2:36 p.m. – Deputy passed a new blue Ford F150 parked in a pullout on Campbell Global property, 47600 block of Quartzville. Deputy walked the area and located three people who had been down on the river fishing. None had a history for trespassing or contacts with Linn County Sheriff’s Office. All three were warned for trespassing and advised of the proper areas to be fishing along Quartzville. They apologized and said they didn’t see any signs. The deputy pointed up to a sign that is about 15 feet up in the tree next to the road.

4:11 p.m. – Caller reported a male and female were at location earlier and may have stolen a window, Juniper and 22nd. Information noted.

4:15 p.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle collision, Holley and 2nd. Information exchanged.

6:05 p.m. – Julia Anne Payne, 41, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.

7:20 p.m. – Caller reported there was a male at her residence and he didn’t know where he belonged, 900 block of Grape. A second caller reported her father missing. Officer responded. Elderly male reunited with his daughter.

7:29 a.m. – Caller reported her vehicle had been left unlocked and someone entered it, 900 block of Park. Report taken. Nothing missing.
