Feb. 28

8:09 p.m. – Caller flagged down an officer to report someone was sleeping outside, 1200 block of 18th. Officer contacted a male and female and trespassed them from location.

9:51 a.m. – Caller reported a theft the previous day, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Caller had video of the theft. Report taken. Loss valued at $9.

9:58 a.m. – Ryan Joseph Hutchinson arrested on Sweet home warrants for failure to appear on two original counts of second-degree criminal mischief, 46600 block of Old Hufford.

10:11 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor continues to let his dogs roam and trespass on the caller’s property, 800 block of Oak Terrace. Officer attempted contact with the owner. No response. Officer left a business card requesting contact.

11:06 p.m. – Caller reported seeing a male attempting to enter a residence through the attic, 1400 block of 53rd. Report taken.

11:49 a.m. – Andrew Christopher Jones arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County.

12:10 p.m. – Caller reported a dog under a vehicle, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer responded. Dog returned to owner.

12:43 p.m. – A 13-year-old juvenile referred to Juvenile Department for possession of a marijuana product, 880 22nd Ave., Sweet Home Junior High.

12:56 p.m. – Caller reported a male slapping and shoving a female, 1200 block of 46th. Male left in a vehicle. Report taken.

1:56 p.m. – Caller reported she went outside on break and found her vehicle damaged, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken.

4 p.m. – A bicycle was left in the Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main St. Placed in found property.

6:20 p.m. – Marcus Wesley Hesson, 48, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of failure to report as a sex offender, 1200 block of 23rd. Cited and released.

9:38 p.m. – A 15-year-old juvenile referred to Juvenile Department for minor in possession of alcohol, 14th and Hawthorne.

Feb. 27

12:09 a.m. – Caller reported that someone tampered with his landlord’s vehicle, 2300 block of Main. Information noted.

Bernhardt, 24, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.

12:21 a.m. – Misty Dawn Poole-Bohannon, 46, arrested for third-degree theft and possession of methamphetamine, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released. Caller had reported seeing a female stealing the fire extinguisher from the lobby.

1:23 a.m. – Caller reported a dog standing in front of the neighbor’s house barking, 300 block of 7th. Officer unable to locate.

9:13 a.m. – Caller found a saw blade in the parking lot, 2331 Main St., Full Gospel Church. Placed in found property.

9:51 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked for several days, Evergreen and Highway 228. Vehicle posted for removal.

12:17 p.m. – Caller reported she and her neighbors had multiple screws in their tires, 700 block of Steelhead Way. Information noted.

12:24 p.m. – Kenneth Lee Jones, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of giving false information to a peace officer, Linn County.

1:05 p.m. – Caller found an Oregon driver’s license several weeks earlier, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Placed in found property.

5:09 p.m. – Kaby Keith Heidt, 23, turned herself in on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of delivery of heroin, delivery of heroin within 1,000 feet of a school, a criminal citation and first-degree forgery, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

6:05 p.m. – Caller reported that someone wrote on his vehicle, 1400 block of Main. Information noted. Caller advised of options.

8:03 p.m. – David Yakovlev, 25, cited for careless driving, Highway 228 and Rowell Hill. Caller had reported a truck hitting a fence or pole and stopping in the roadway. Report taken.

12:48 p.m. – Dawn Marie Thompson, 31, cited on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft, Albany.

8:52 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a house she is renovating, 2300 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $100.

9:30 a.m. – Caller reported loose dogs, 47th and Airport. Kennel was full. Caller held dogs and contacted the owner.

9:59 a.m. – Caller reported a driver left without paying for fuel, 1810 Main St., Main Street Market. Report taken. Loss valued at $28.

10:06 a.m. – Multiple callers reported a male down in the parking lot with possible seizures, 1540 Main St, Safeway. Medics responded.

2:38 p.m. – Caller reported a shopping cart with a lot of needles in it, 18th and Tamarack. Officer responded and removed needles. Public Works disposed of other items.

2:40 p.m. – Denise Rochelle Burrow, 54, cited for open container of alcohol, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Caller had reported he saw a female steal chicken.

3:19 p.m. – Caller found a dog and was unable to contact the owner, 1000 block of Long. Dog placed in kennel.

5:09 p.m. – Caller reported two loose aggressive dogs, 5600 block of Poplar. Officer unable to locate dogs.

7:43 p.m. – Caller reported a dog running in the roadway, 1000 block of Main. Officer responded. Caller believed someone may have picked up the dog.

8:49 p.m. – Charity Dawn Leslie, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, 3200 block of Main. Cited and released.

9:19 p.m. – Caller reported a male sleeping outside a closed building, 3000 block of Main. Caller was concerned he didn’t have a blanket. Officer contacted the male, who had a sleeping bag and would be moving on in the morning.

9:22 p.m. – Caller reported a dog at large, 1364 Main St. Dog placed in kennel.

9:50 p.m. – Caller reported a male hitting a female and male breaking out the window in a vehicle, 3000 block of Main. Report taken for criminal mischief. Damage estimated at $300.

11:23 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 32, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 1400 block of Nandina. Cited and released.

Feb. 25

3:11 a.m. – Caller reported a dog just showed up at her house, 700 block of 10th. Dog ran away upon officer arrival.

7:44 a.m. – Caller reported a strange vehicle in the parking lot and a bag near it on the ground, 899 Main St., Napa Auto Parts. Officer responded. Vehicle was unoccupied and appeared to have broken down. Bag seized for safekeeping.

8:13 a.m. – Caller reported mail taken from residence, 1700 block of Elm. Information noted. Caller advised of options.

9:11 a.m. – Caller reported a male carrying a bike under the railroad trestle, Steelhead Way and railroad tracks. Officer located a bicycle and no one around. Bicycle seized for safekeeping.

9:15 a.m. – Ashley Kay Miles, 31, arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1400 block of 53rd. Cited and released to parole and probation for transport.

9:44 a.m. – Caller reported a battery taken from an RV, 1200 block of 41st. Report taken. Loss valued at $100. Damage estimated at $20.

9:50 a.m. – David Justin Laylon, 50, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of attempted burglary, Columbia River Correctional Institution.

10:13 a.m. – Collin William Church, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on a criminal driving charge, Linn County.

12:24 p.m. – Derrek Leo Reynolds, 51, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, Sweet Home Emergency Ministries. Cited and released.

12:30 p.m. – Caller reported dogs were off a leash, 1530 Tamarack St., Tamarack Ridge Estates. Owner warned for dog at large.

12:36 p.m. – Caller reported fuel taken from vehicles, 4300 block of Main. Report taken. Loss valued at $70.

1:14 p.m. – Caller reported a male was in the restroom for more than an hour, Sankey Park. Officer contacted the male and advised him he couldn’t stay in the restroom. Male left the area, walking to a bus stop.

3:16 p.m. – Caller reported a dog loose in the area, 700 block of 10th. Officer unable to catch dog.

5:34 p.m. – Caller reported his son took a bike from Oak Heights Elementary, 605 Main St. He turned in the bike and wanted his son counseled for his actions. Officer responded.

9:04 p.m. – James Jay Jones, 37, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1800 block of Main.

10:52 p.m. – Matthew Allen Pitts, 31, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of menacing, third-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief, Lebanon.

Feb. 24

8:57 a.m. – Wayne Cole Howser, 44, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of attempting to elude, Linn County.

9:18 a.m. – Vehicle blocked a driveway, preventing emergency services access, 28300 block of Scott Mountain. Vehicle impounded.

12:12 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke into an RV and took items, 4199 Main St., Storage Depot. Information noted.

1:17 p.m. – Caller reported a large hole in the fence, 4309 Main St., South Fork Trading Company. Information noted.

2:47 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked for four months, 300 block of 7th. Two vehicles posted for removal.

3:08 p.m. – Caller reported that someone used the caller’s name and Social Security number to open a Spring account and run up a bill of $1,123.77. The billing address was in Zionsville, Ind. Report taken.

3:55 p.m. – Caller reported a wallet taken from her residence, 1800 block of Tamarack. Report taken.

6:46 p.m. – Thomas Michael Studer, 46, cited for driving while suspended, 12th and Main.

7:34 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 1937 Main St., Dollar General. Report taken. Loss valued at $12.99.

7:54 p.m. – Sara Kay McBee-King, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of theft of services and probable cause for theft, 2230 Main St., Cited and released.

Feb. 23

1:02 p.m. – Caller reported a male kicking a dog, 4300 block of Main. She said she pulled over to speak with the male about animal abuse and several other people came out of a residence and yelled at her. Officer contacted the caller and the male. The male denied the reported activity. The dog had no visible injury and did not act injured.

1:14 p.m. – Caller reported a male intentionally swerved into his daughter. 2300 block of Main. They both pulled over to exchange information and then the male took off. Report taken.

3:53 p.m. – Caller reported that someone ran a string across a sidewalk, through a church parking lot and into a vacant residence, Elm and 12th. Caller had cut down the string. Officer checked the area for anyone acting suspiciously. Unable to locate.

9:43 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog had been barking for more than an hour, 1400 block of 53rd. Officer sat in the area but did not hear barking.

10:24 p.m. – Jesse Lane Davis, 24, arrested for driving under the influence, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft and Albany warrant for contempt of court, west city limits.

Feb. 22

2:29 a.m. – David Wenford Gibbs, 46, cited and released in field for second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree disorderly conduct, 1209 Main St. Officer had come across a subject damaging property.

9:15 a.m. – Shawn Wixon, 60, arrested for harassment and Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

11:30 a.m. – Shawn Wixon, 60, arrested for contempt of court, 1100 block of Nandina. Cited and released.

1:31 p.m. – Caller reported a black dog running loose, 1712 11th Ave., Northside Park. Officer unable to locate.

1:33 p.m. – Kaellin Moore, 19, cited for careless driving, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

1:36 p.m. – Caller reported that items were missing in and around the caller’s residence, 1100 block of Poplar. Information noted.

3:20 p.m. – Jay Marsh, 55, arrested on Lebanon warrant for probation violation on original charge of third-degree theft, 700 block of Long. Cited and released.

3:26 p.m. – Caller reported that a neighbor is allowing dogs to defecate all over, 700 block of 9th. Officer contacted the caller. The caller was referring to a public alley behind the caller’s property. The caller was also allowing his dogs to defecate on the neighbor’s vacant property. Information noted.

4:01 p.m. – Karen Davis, 52, cited for careless driving and switched plates, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.

4:05 p.m. – David Arroyo-Sandoval, 39, arrested by Oregon State Police on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft.

4:19 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle was blocking a driveway for several hours and the caller did not recognize the vehicle, 2300 block of Cedar. Officer contacted the owner, who is a neighbor. Owner agreed to move the vehicle.

5:16 p.m. – Dalton Orr, 23, cited for dog at large, 5500 block of Nandina.

5:33 p.m. – Two callers reported a male was harassing customers, 621 Main St., Thriftway. He appeared to be agitated. Officer contacted the male and trespassed him from the location.

6:23 p.m. – Austin Reed Stevens cited for failure to obey traffic control device, 300 block of W. Holley.

8:34 p.m. – Craig James Evans, 44, arrested on Philomath warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree criminal mischief, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

8:44 p.m. – Caller reported his wife saw a cougar, 8th and Alder. Officer unable to locate.

11:05 p.m. – Lavern Durwood Bailey, 52, cited for speeding, 60 mph in a 45-mph zone, 4200 block of Main.

Feb. 21

12:07 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle with two flat tires parked for two days, 1700 block of Main. Vehicle posted.

8:10 a.m. – Caller reported her daughter had been injured at school by another student, 880 22nd Ave., Sweet Home Junior High. Officer contacted the caller. Information noted.

9:12 a.m. – Charas Lelainia Blanco, 46, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County.

10:34 a.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog came onto the caller’s property, 5500 block of Nandina. Report taken for dog at large.

10:45 a.m. – Caller found a makeup bag with drug paraphernalia inside it, 800 block of Oak Terrace. Property seized for destruction.

11:36 a.m. – Caller reported a female pushing an elderly male, 12th and Nandina. Female gone upon officer arrival. Male made arrangements to stay with family for the night. Report taken.

12:17 p.m. – Caller reported an email scam, Public Works. Report taken for first-degree theft. Loss valued at $1,000.

11:27 a.m. – Jeremy Kirk Gross, 32, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, computer crime, giving false information to a peace officer, unlawful possession of ID, attempted coercion and possession of meth and cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 4800 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail. Vehicle impounded.

2:23 p.m. – Caller reported a two-vehicle collision in the parking lot, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer assisted in exchange of information. Damage less than $2,500.

3:12 p.m. – Cheyanna Morse, 28, cited for dog at large, 1700 block of 9th.

3:40 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into a trailer and took fuses, 4199 Main St., Storage Depot. Report taken. Loss valued at $50.

4:01 p.m. – Caller reported an abandoned car and equipment trailers, 2000 block of Cedar. Officer contacted a responsible party, who agreed to work on removing them from the road.

5:28 p.m. – Caller reported five violations of Oregon school bus stop law. Letters pending followup with the caller for additional vehicle details.

5:37 p.m. – Caller reported finding an item on 54th Avenue. Placed in found property.

5:41 p.m. – Caller reported a two-vehicle collision, 600 block of Main. Report taken. No injuries. Citations pending for both drivers.

6:10 p.m. – Caller found keys, Highway 228 and 3rd. Placed in found property.

7:44 p.m. – Dylan Uriah Elder, 24, cited for driving while suspended, 621 Main St., Thriftway.

Feb. 20

8:23 a.m. – Officer received information that a vehicle was blocking traffic, Highway 20 and Highway 228. Officer responded. Driver was able to move vehicle to a nearby parking lot.

8:53 a.m. – Caller reported a dog was making strange noises, 2300 block of Harding. Caller believed the dog might have been in distress. Officer contacted the owner, who was on the phone with a veterinarian. The dog had ear mites and was irritated.

9:02 a.m. – Caller reported that a male was trespassing, 1400 block of 53rd. Report taken.

11:12 a.m.- Caller reported a male hitting a dog, 10th and Dogwood. Officer contacted the male, who said he swatted the dog’s rear once to get it to go back inside. Dog appeared in good spirits and was not injured.

12:28 p.m. – Matthew James Wood, 28, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of harassment, Albany.

1:46 p.m. – Justin Lee Walker, 32, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Jail.

1:53 p.m. – Travis Earl Pressey, 41, arrested on state warrant for parole violation, Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of interfering with a peace officer and possession of meth and Lebanon warrant for probation violation, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Transported to Linn County Jail.

2:35 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked for six days, 4th Avenue cul de sac. Vehicle posted for removal.

3:58 p.m. – Caller reported his dog was attacked by another dog, 12th and Poplar. Caller to contact the other dog owner and handle privately and contact police if there were any further issues.

4:01 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle parked for six to eight months, 400 block of 18th. Vehicle posted for removal.

5:40 p.m. – Letters sent to the registered owners of three vehicles that violated the Oregon school bus stop law.

5:40 p.m. – Caller reported two violations of the Oregon school bus stop law, but the vehicle descriptions did not match the license plates given. Police were unable to send letters to the registered owners.
