At left, Don Barnes of 38 Special plays guitar while his band plays hit after hit, ranging from “Rockin’ Into the Night” and “If I’d Been the One” to “Caught Up in You” and “Hold on Loosely.” The band also played tracks from Barnes’ solo album, “Ride the Storm Out,” released in 2017. Reserved seating was sold out, and fans filled the courtyard at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center. Other performers included The Artimus Pyle Band honoring the music of Ronnie Van Zant and Lynyrd Skynyrd; Joe Nichols; and Maddie and Tae. The New Era plans to publish local livestock exhibition winners in next week’s edition.
