2:34 a.m. – Caller found a plastic baggie with meth residue on Marks Ridge Road near North River Road. Baggie seized.
10:40 a.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle collision, 900 block of Main. Report taken. Male taken to hospital by personal vehicle. One driver warned for careless driving.
11:46 a.m. – Rayden Kaye Johnson, 74, cited for careless driving, Long and 18th.
1:24 p.m. – Caller reported a male was urinating on a parking lot, 13th and Kalmia. Male counseled.
2:10 p.m. – Caller reported an $800 generator stolen from his campsite, 51300 block of Quartzville. Report taken.
2:51 p.m. – Caller reported that someone cashed out video lottery while he was in the restroom, 1203 Long St. Report taken.
2:52 p.m. – While patrolling the Quartzville Corridor, a deputy located six illegal camps and took a report for trespassing.
2:54 p.m. – Caller reported that someone hit her brother’s motorcycle in the parking lot, 1010 Main St. Report taken.
4:02 p.m. – George Durgy, 67, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass for allegedly camping on private property without permission, 28300 block of Ridgeway.
6:29 p.m. – Zona Mae Carper, 48, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, Multnomah County.
6:49 p.m. – Daniel Joseph Carrico, 35, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of contempt of court seeking punitive sanctions, Lebanon.
9:21 p.m. – Michael Pollock, 53, cited for second-degree criminal trespass and unlawful transport or harvesting of forest products, 48600 block of Quartzville.
11:24 p.m. – Caller found a box containing a printer in the roadway, 900 block of 3rd. Officer placed the box, marked “free stuff,” in found property.
June 29
10:58 a.m. – Caller found a cell phone, Clark Mill Road. Placed in found property.
2:41 p.m. – Deputy located campers who were advised the previous day they must leave due to overstaying the 14-day limit, 49400 block of Quartzville. They were assisted packing their camp so they could leave.
3:09 p.m. – Deputy patrolled the area along Quartzville, removed a fire pit and spoke to people at two illegal camps on Bureau of Land Management property.
3:56 p.m. – Caller reported that a transient male urinated in a bottle and then poured it out in the parking lot, Sweet Home Public Library. Officer responded and counseled the male on his actions.
6:58 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor’s dog was barking nonstop for the previous hour and a half, 700 block of 8th. It was unusual for it to bark that long. Officer responded. The dog was in the house and quiet upon arrival. Owner was advised of the complaint. The owner reported the dog was on a new run and getting used to it.
7:48 p.m. – Caller turned in a bag with possible drug residue found at a business location. Bag seized for destruction.
9:23 p.m. – Nicholas Scot Warren, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrants for three counts of failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass; and Dallas Andrew Samson, 36, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 580 Main St., behind the Vet’s Club. Both cited and released. A pipe was seized for destruction.
10:14 p.m. – Deputy warned three persons for a campfire, 1400 60th Ave. They put out the fire and left the area.
June 28
12:54 a.m. – Malcolm Hinton Hicks, 33, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Albany.
2:29 a.m. – Deputy located two illegal camps in the area of along Quartzville. The area was busy with Gambler 500 participants, and the deputy gave directions to well over 40 people.
9:34 a.m. – Caller reported three large friendly dogs running loose in her yard, 1000 block of Wiley Creek. Dogs returned to owner, who was warned for dog at large.
2:41 p.m. – George Josef Drexler, 44, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon.
4:27 p.m. – Deputy advised campers they had exceeded the 14-day limit and need to move on, 52500 block of Quartzville.
4:44 p.m. – Deputy contacted a male at a campsite and advised him he had exceeded the 14-day limit, 49400 block of Quartzville.
5:04 p.m. – Ashley Kay Miles, 30, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County.
11:15 p.m. – Kevin Earl Terwilliger, 56, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and Albany warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree theft, 2100 block of Long.
June 27
1:03 a.m. – Officer located a stolen vehicle, and Somer Renay Nicole Berry, 38, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth, Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation on original charge of driving while suspended and failure to appear on original charge of driving while suspended and second-degree theft; Kandice Lorall Gates, 33, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation and Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of identity theft; and Cody Tyler Hahn, 26, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of unlawful possession of meth, 1300 block of Main. Berry cited and released. Gates and Hahn transported to Linn County Jail.
9:37 a.m. – David Arroyo-Sandoval, 38, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, 1700 block of Main. Caller had reported a male wearing a hoodie and bright blue latex gloves eating honey from a beehive slat he was carrying.
11:22 a.m. – Caller reported a burglary that occurred between March and May, 39500 block of Crawfordsville Drive. Several bows, tools, a computer and jewelry were taken. Loss valued at $3,000. Report taken.
12:05 p.m. – Caller reported that a home under construction was damaged, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows. Report taken.
4:20 p.m. – Caller turned in a bicycle that had been left at the Boys and Girls Club a couple of weeks earlier, 890 18th Ave. Bike placed in found property.
6:20 p.m. – Melanie Ashley Zajic, 35, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation original charges of driving while suspended and failure to carry proof of insurance, 3205 Long St. Caller had reported a female was violating her own stalking order on the caller. Information noted. The caller did what she should have and made sure there was a good distance between her and the female in question.
6:23 p.m. – Caller reported someone went through her mail and tried to steal a credit card two days earlier, 1100 block of Spruce. Information noted.
June 26
12:51 a.m. – Sammy Raymond Hughes, 18, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, third-degree theft, providing false information to a police officer, Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft and Linn County warrant for probation violation on original charge of possession of meth; and Andrew James Freitag, 18, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft, 1100 block of Cedar. Cited and released. Caller had reported a male who appeared to be trying to get into a neighbor’s vehicle. Both cited and released.
11:34 a.m. – Caller found drugs and paraphernalia, 1100 block of Cedar. Property seized.
11:42 a.m. – Caller found a wallet, 2000 Main St., McDonald’s. Placed in found property.
1:18 p.m. – Caller reported a water meter curb valve was broken, 800 block of Cedar. Officer responded. Information noted at caller’s request. Public Works employees to speak to supervisor about whether to pursue charges.
1:21 p.m. – Ryan Wesley Sechrest, 32, arrested for hit and run, property; and Earl Elijah Moffet, 28, arrested on Linn County warrant for probation violationa nd Lebanon warrant for probation violation, 1501 Main St., Speedee Mart. Sechrest cited and released. Moffet transported to Linn County Jail.
1:45 p.m. – Caller reported that a juvenile threatened to kill him and came at him with a knife, 400 block of 9th. Parties were separated, but the caller said he is being followed by the juvenile. Report taken. Investigation pending.
3:22 p.m. – Caller brought in a dog she found at Highway 20 and Waterloo. The dog was chipped but had been re-homed to someone living on Highway 226. Dog placed in kennel, and Dog Control notified.
4:19 p.m. – Caller reported fraud on her bank account, 400 block of 17th. Officer contacted the caller. The bank reimbursed the caller’s account.
5:06 p.m. – Rafael Gutierrez, 62, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of dangerous drugs and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of disorderly conduct, 18th and Main. Cited and released.
5:52 p.m. – Caller reported a loose black and brown Lab-Rottweiler mix, 1300 block of 1st. Officer unable to catch the dog. A neighbor advised the owner, who was on his way home from work.
8:10 p.m. – Caller reported a German shepherd mix chasing cats and being aggressive to other dogs, 4600 block of Kalmia. Dog would not let the responding officer get close. The dog ran away to the west on Long Street.
8:12 p.m. – Allen Joseph Hall, 41, turned himself in at Linn County Jail on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended.
June 25
1:02 a.m. – Melony Irene Shockman, 44, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Corvallis.
6:55 a.m. – Nathan Deffenbaugh, 43, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree theft and Linn County warrant for seven counts of failure to appear and for menacing. Transported to Linn County Jail.
8:09 a.m. – Caller reported an item taken from her porch by a female in a wheelchair the previous day, 3100 block of Main. Officer contacted the caller and female subject. Item returned to caller. Female counseled at caller’s request.
10:05 a.m. – Caller reported his name was forged on a check, 2200 block of Long. Report taken.
10:18 a.m. – Phillip Randall Passmore, 52, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of hit and run, Linn County.
12:07 p.m. – Caller reported her grandfather received a call from someone claiming to be from the Social Security office and her grandfather provided his name, date of birth and Social Security number, 1200 block of Nandina. Officer contacted the caller. Information noted. The caller was advised to monitor her grandfather’s credit reports.
12:15 p.m. – Jamie Jessie Jimenez, 54, cited on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Oregon Department of Corrections.
12:38 p.m. – Caller reported a tree blocking the westbound lane between mileposts 8 and 9, Quartzville Drive. Deputy removed the tree from the road.
12:44 p.m. – Samuel Frank Ayers, 21, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court on original charge of driving while suspended, 800 block of 14th.
3:27 p.m. – Frank Archie Thompson II, 45, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Linn County.
4:08 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of an item from the yard within the previous week, 4300 block of Citabria. Report taken.
4:21 p.m. – Caller reported a loose dog, 1100 block of 22nd. Dog returned to owner.
4:52 p.m. – Caller reported a male and female bought items and took the shopping cart with them, 2414 Main St., Dollar Tree. Officer unable to locate the suspects. Report taken. Loss valued at $600.
7:23 p.m. – Caller reported a male shot at a dog, and a second caller reported shooting at an aggressive dog, 1100 block of 55th. Officer responded. Information noted. The second caller was acting in self-defense.
8:33 p.m. – Caller reported a dog at large, 13th and Kalmia. Dog placed in kennel then later released to owner.
10:38 p.m. – Collin William Church, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, Linn County.
June 24
8:59 a.m. – Mark Noel Osker, 52, arrested on Lebanon warrant for contempt of court and probation violation, Lane County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended and Linn County warrants for probation violation on original charge of driving while suspended and for driving while suspended, 4600 block of Main. Transported to Linn County Jail.
9:22 a.m. – A 17-year-old male arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of tampering with evidence, three counts of minor in possession of or attempting to purchase marijuana, two counts of minor in possession of a tobacco inhalant system and unlawful possession of a marijuana item by a person under 21 years of age, 900 Terrace Lane.
12:02 p.m. – Caller reported that a pit bull came out of a house barking and growling at the caller, 7th and Dogwood. This has occurred before. Officer contacted owner and advised that if the issue continues, the owner may be cited.
4:19 p.m. – Caller reported a bike taken during the night or early in the morning, 900 block of 12th. Report taken.
4:23 p.m. – Caller flagged down officer for a dog found at the corner of 22nd and Long. Dog returned to owner.
6:05 p.m. – Billy Joe Richardson, 52, turned himself on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal mischief; Lebanon warrants for contempt of court, probation violation and failure to appear on a criminal citation; and Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.
6:50 p.m. – Caller reported a drone hovering in her front yard in the 1200 block of 49th for an extended period and it left toward 47th Avenue. A second caller reported a drone hovering on the property for an extended period before heading toward Long Street. Officer contacted and counseled the operator on city codes regarding drones. The owner said he would no longer fly it in the city limits.
7:45 p.m. – Caller found a friendly dog, 900 block of 15th. Officer located the dog, which ran away. Officer unable to detain the dog. Dog was not a threat.
8:40 p.m. – Caller reported the friendly dog returned and she was able to contain it in her yard. Officer responded. Dog hopped the fence upon seeing the officer. Officer unable to detain the dog.
