The Linn County Sheriff’s Office last week warned local residents to be wary of telephone scams that seem to be proliferating.
Undersheriff Jim Yon said that, as of July 2, the Sheriff’s Office had taken seven reports involving a scam that claims the victim did not show up for jury duty as required by law.
