The Sweet Home Planning Commission will meet with the City Council Oct. 2 to discuss a proposed outdoor lighting ordinance that has been a particular interest of Planning Commissioner Eva Jurney.
Planning Director Carol Lewis said commissioners, in their monthly meeting on Sept. 10, considered a final draft of the proposed ordinance that would encourage energy conservation, moderate glare and “light trespass,” and reduce the amount of light shining into the sky at night.
