Friends of Dirrell Harper are raising money to buy him a van.
They have set up an account, called The Harper Project, at Key Bank.
Harper, a former star football player at Sweet Home High School, suffers from a medical condition that confines him to a wheelchair. Harper worked for six or seven years after high school and college before the condition started growing worse.
