4:56 a.m. – Caller reported someone threw a rock through the window at Dutch Bros. and took money, 604 Main St. Officer took report for second-degree burglary. Loss of $200.
7:18 a.m. – Caller reported her ID was stolen either from vehicle or from bag where it had been placed. Officer responded, 1300 block of Sunset. The multicolored wallet contained ID and Social Security card but no cash or bank cards.
8:59 a.m. – Caller reported theft, 3041 Main St., Hoy’s. Officer took report for third-degree theft. Stolen computer speakers were valued at $9.99.
Jan. 1
12:40 a.m. – Caller heard what sounded like a cannon going off in the street, causing her windows to rattle, 400 block of 10th. Officer checked area. Unknown what caused noise.
1:44 a.m. – Caller reported a male in white lifted pickup truck hit the side of his car causing a dent and then leaving westbound, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken.
8:46 a.m. – Elizabeth Lynn Brown, 30, arrested on Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on original charge of contempt of court and cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to carry proof of insurance. Tina Jo Winkler, 42, arrested on Multnomah County warrant for probation violation on original charges of delivery of meth and possession of a controlled substance and on Oregon warrant for parole violation, absconding, 10th just south of Main. Brown cited and released. Winkler transported to Linn County Jail.
5:25 p.m. – Caller reported a minivan in the bark dust, 49th and Main, in the flower bed in front of the Wiley Creek Community sign. Officer responded to a single-vehicle crash with no injuries. He did not see any damage to the property. Vehicle was removed and on its way. Officer would advise business of driver’s insurance information.
6:09 p.m. – Caller reported hearing cannon-like sounds coming from the area, 4100 block of Osage. Officer checked area for approximately 20 minutes and did not see or hear anything.
9:17 p.m. – Caller reported hearing fireworks in the area. Second caller reported hearing three gunshots and saw a flashlight in the field that runs from Long to Main, 3100 block of Main. Officer responded, checked area on foot and did not see or hear anything.
Dec. 31
10:32 a.m. – Eric Daniel Grimm, 39, arrested for second-degree burglary, 1605 Fir St. Cited and released. Caller had reported seeing a male carrying boxes from an empty house.
10:52 a.m. – Caller reported garbage can at Shell gas station was filled with garbage, 1306 Main St. Caller located pieces of mail in the garbage sacks. Report taken. Approximate value of garbage service is $156.
12:30 p.m. – Caller reported finding an armful of mail belonging to different people lying at the edge of her lawn, 900 block of Alder. Officer responded. Unsure if it was an actual mail theft. There was a large stack of newspaper with one piece of mail with a name. The mail has been seized and returned to owner.
12:48 p.m. – Caller reported theft of two iPods from her friend’s unlocked car during the night, 900 block of First. Report taken. Approximate value of iPods was $438.
1:24 p.m. – Caller reported someone went through his vehicle during the night. Nothing was taken. Report taken.
1:48 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke into her car during the night. Three items worth $893.99 were taken. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft.
6:28 p.m. – Denise Marie Bonneville, 26, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct, 22nd near Husky Field. Cited, held for detox and released.
6:49 p.m. – Caller reported children setting off explosives in the street and then running back into their house, 1800 block of Tamarack. Officer patrolled area but was unable to locate.
7:47 p.m. – Caller reported that someone was just in his yard, 2200 block of Nandina. When he asked the male what he was doing, the male flipped up his hood and ran toward Main Street. Offer responded. Information noted.
8:25 p.m. – Caller reported loud explosions in the area for the past hour, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Trailer Park. The last one rattled his walls and knocked items off a shelf.
10 p.m. – Caller reports gunshots or fireworks in the area, 10th and Elm. Officer patrolled area. Neighborhood quiet, and officer was unable to locate anyone out in the area.
10:10 p.m. – Caller reported someone firing a pistol in the area, 900 block of 23rd. Officer patrolled but was unable to locate any sounds in the area.
Dec. 30
12:58 p.m. – Caller reported someone broke into her car, 1530 Tamarack St., Mountain Shadows Trailer Park. Report taken for second-degree theft. Various items stolen and valued at $530.
4:14 p.m. – Caller reported theft of generator from garage two to three days earlier, 700 block of Long. Report taken. Approximate value was $450.
Dec. 29
8:48 a.m. – Caller reported that someone shot four of his goats, 27500 block of Liberty. All four goats were dead. Deputy and owner discovered a fifth goat was missing after following tracks toward timber and brush. They located small puncture marks near the mid to high neck on three goats, but they did not appear to go past the skin, and no bullets were located. The Linn County trapper planned to respond.
9:50 a.m. – Caller reported a horse in the roadway, 30100 block of Fairview Road. Owner contacted. Owner secured horse.
2:55 a.m. – Caller reported that someone had attempted to drive a vehicle over the berm where 12th Avenue ends near Cedar Street. The vehicle was stuck, and the driver was revving the engine. Officer contacted occupants of vehicle, who were delivering newspapers and got stuck while turning the vehicle around. They were able to get the vehicle out without assistance.
12:26 a.m. – Marcus Avery Duncan, 45, cited for failure to carry proof of insurance and defective lighting equipment, 1400 block of Main.
4:17 p.m. – Caller reported wallet taken out of her vehicle about five days earlier, 4500 block of Main. Report taken.
Dec. 28
6:46 p.m. – Jamie Jesse Jiminez, 45, arrested for third-degree theft and Marion County warrant for first-degree trespass, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Transported to Linn County Jail for extradition to Marion County Jail.
7:49 p.m. – Guy Anton Tenbusch, 21, arrested for third-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.
10:58 p.m. – Daniel Wayne Sutton, 19, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Lebanon. Cited and released.
Dec. 27
3:44 p.m. – Travis Earl Pressey, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of interfering with a police officer, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.
5:54 p.m. – Caller reported that people left location with a full cart of food, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer responded and took report. Actual amount of theft unknown but estimated at about $20.
Dec. 26
3:17 p.m. – Caller reported saw stolen from back of truck sometime since Saturday, 400 block of 12th. Officer responded and took report for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft. Saw valued at $40.
4:31 p.m. – Caller reported lawn mower missing from shed, 4300 block of Long. Report taken for second-degree theft. Approximate value was $500.
9:35 p.m. – While on foot patrol at Sweet Home Junior High, 880 22nd Ave., an officer located criminal mischief where a liquid was sprayed in the breezeway. Officer also located Christmas decorations that did not belong to the junior high. Officer took report for third-degree criminal mischief and returned items to owner.
10:59 p.m. – Caller reported that his friend was coasting down Old Hufford Road in a vehicle with a blown motor. Caller went to the bottom of Old Hufford but could not find his friend. Missing party located later at the residence of a friend.
Dec. 23
10:51 a.m. – Caller reported finding a wallet belonging to the driver of a vehicle involved in a crash the previous evening, 26100 block of Old Holley. Wallet returned to driver’s mother.
10:15 p.m. – Benjamin Moore arrested for trespassing after allegedly walking into a stranger’s house and refusing to leave, 27000 block of Rowell Hill. A vehicle had been parked in a manner that prevented the homeowners from exiting their driveway. The vehicle was towed as a hazard.
