Former Sweet Home Police Chief Gary David and his wife Shirley will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary Sept. 24.
The celebration will be a surprise for the Davids, who now live in Irrigon. Gary David and Shirley Jackson were married Sept. 24, 1966 in a backyard ceremony in Irrigon.
They have two children and three grandchildren.
