Edward Silvester Gaskey 86, of Lebanon died Dec. 12, 2009 at Lebanon Community Hospital. He was born April 6, 1923 in Aliksha, Okla., to Ed and Alice (Ferguson) Gaskey and raised in Wright City, Okla.
During his youth he traveled to various states, working in construction and mill work before settling in the Sweet Home-Lebanon area in the mid 1960s. He retired from Willamette Industries in 1985.
