Axel Walter Schmidt, 73, of Sweet Home died May 31, 2009.
He was born on May 19, 1936 to Walter Schmidt and Alice Anna Hedwig in Berlin, Germany.
He married Leonore Wassermann in August of 1959. The couple moved to Toronto, Canada. After four years in Toronto they moved to California where Mr. Schmidt worked as a steel fabricator. They came to Sweet Home in 1994.
Mr. Schmidt enjoyed the outdoors; boating, hunting and fishing.…
