Myrtle Arietta Hufford, 96, of Hufford Ridge, east of Foster, died March 4, 2009.
She was born Jan. 13, 1913 in McKinney, Texas to William Henry and Metta Daisy (Combest) Buchanan. Her brother Herschel died before she was born. Shortly after she was born, her father and his brother Louis came to Oregon and purchased acreage on what is now High Deck Road.
