District 55 School Board members on Monday accepted the resignations of assistant high school principal Daymon Monteith and vice principal/Athletic Director Steve Emmert. The board hired Larry Johnson, retired athletic director, for the year.
Emmert worked for Sweet Home for 22 years. He is taking an administrative position with Sherwood School District. Monteith worked in Sweet Home one year and is taking an administrative position in Mazama School District.
In other business, the board:
– Declared 120 lockers and art equipment as surplus. The district is ordering new lockers for the “ghetto hall,” the old hall at the high school.
– Appointed Mike Reynolds chairman; David VanDerlip, vice chairman; and Leena Neuschwander, secretary.
