The city of Sweet Home’s local option levies were approved in Tuesday’s election, but voter turnout reached just more than 49 percent, short of the 50 percent required to validate the election.
The library levy would have passed 62.5 percent to 37.5 percent had voter turnout reached 50 percent. The police levy would have passed 57.4 percent to 42.6 percent.
