The Sweet Home City Council approved the rezone of 4830 48th Loop from highway commercial to single-family residential.
The property sits north of the Center Market.
The rezone matches the property to the Comprehensive Plan designation for zoning.
The rezone is for Justification Holding, LLC, represented by Tara C. Smith of Coldwell Banker in Lebanon.
The council held the first reading of the ordinance to complete the rezone. The council can adopt the new zoning ordinance after the third reading.
The council met on Oct. 25.
In other business, the council approved a resolution designating four vehicles, including a 1976 Chevrolet truck, a 1991 Chevrolet Blazer, a 1982 International Vac-All and a 1982 GMC S-15 pickup, as surplus property.
The vehicles will be taken to Salem and sold through the state of Oregon’s surplus program.
