Travis Tritt, Neal McCoy and Lonestar will headline the 2005 Oregon Jamboree.

The Jamboree announced five names Friday for the 2005 Jamboree, which will be held July 29-31.

Tritt and Lonestar will headline on Friday night of the event. McCoy, who was a popular highlight at the 2004 Jambore, will close out the festival on Sunday.

The Jamboree also announced Little Big Town and Cross Canadian Ragweed.

Tritt released a new album, My Honky Tonk History, in August. The album includes “What You Say,” a duet with John Mellencamp.

The new album, a mixture of Southern rock and blues steeped in country music, is first gave Tritt his notoriety as country music’s “new outlaw.” His first hit was “Country Club” in 1989. He followed up with many more hits, including “I’m Going to be Somebody” and “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares).”

McCoy started as an opening act for Charley Pride, soon earning his own slot on the show. He was named entertainer of the year in 1998 and 1999 in the TNN Music City News Country Awards.

“When the audience is really into it, it just doesn’t get any better,” McCoy said. “On stage is where I belong.”

Known for songs like “The Shake,” he was an audience favorite in last year’s festival.

The festival will feature 14 concerts over three days.

Lonestar’s hits include “Amazed,” “My Front Porch Looking In” and “I’m Already There.” “My Front Porch” was the most played country song of 2003.

Event Manager Peter LaPonte anticipates more announcement soon.
