An Albany man drowned in the Willamette River Sunday afternoon after slipping under water, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 5:53 p.m Sunday, Aug. 3, rescue personnel responded to a report of a person who had gone underwater in the Willamette River and had did not return to the surface.
