A story and headline in last week’s edition of The New Era did not clearly state that the owner and operator of the Willamette Country Music Festival is Willamette Country Music Concerts, LLC, and the owner of the new Cape Blanco Festival on the southern Oregon Coast is BootsNBeach, LLC.
The two businesses share partners.
Bi-Mart sponsors both events, but it was not a Bi-Mart decision to open the new festival and is not Bi-Mart’s festival, said Don Leber, Bi-Mart marketing director. The partners, who form both of the festival LLCs, decided to create the new festival and share costs, similar to the Sweet Home Economic Development Group’s goal in creating a new indie festival.
Leber said that Bi-Mart has been and is supportive of the Sweet Home community.
“Just because we’re not a sponsor of the Oregon Jamboree doesn’t mean we’re not a supporter of the community,” Leber said, and there are ways each festival can be successful.
Bi-Mart is currently building a new store in Sweet Home.
“Over time, I think people will see when we open the store there in Sweet Home, they’ll see we are a good community partner,” Leber said.
