District 55 School Board incumbents Dale Keene and Jan Sharp retained their seats in the only two contested positions in the May 21 election.
In zone eight, at large, Keene defeated challengers Monica Sanders and Vernon Tunnell Sr., in a fairly tight race, with 468 votes, 32.39 percent. Sanders drew 431 votes, 29.83 percent, and Tunnell received 408, 28.24 percent.
In zone five, at large, Sharp defeated Randy Holder 735, 50.87 percent, to 582, 40.28 percent.
In unopposed races, Heather Search of Sweet Home won in zone one with the Linn-Benton-Lincoln Education Service District Board of Directors. She received 2,392 votes, 67.27 percent.
In School District 55, Chanz Keeney received 1,125 votes, 77.85 percent for zone one, Holley.
In zone two, Liberty, Jenny Daniels received 1,068 votes, 73.91 percent.
In zone seven, Jason Redick received 1,092 votes, 75.57 percent.
In the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District, two unopposed candidates were re-elected. Don Hopkins received 1,063 votes, 73.72 percent, for position four. Dawn Mitchell received 1,069 votes, 74.13 percent.
In the Sweet Home Cemetery District, Laura Mather and Mike Melcher were re-elected. Mather received 960 votes, 79.87 percent. Melcher received 1,019 votes, 84.78 percent.
