John Walter Cerruti, 45, was sentenced in Linn County Circuit Court to 70 months in prison on Feb. 4 after pleading guilty on Jan. 28 in the robbery of Umpqua Bank in December.
Cerruti also faces three years of post-prison supervision and must pay $424 in fines and restitution.
His accomplice, Mellissa Anne Avila, 36, pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree robbery and is scheduled for sentencing on March 8.
Sweet Home police arrested Cerruti and Avila on Dec. 29 after they served a search warrant on their 2000 Pontiac Montana and apartment, 2118 Main St.
At approximately 10:08 a.m. on Dec. 20, a male displayed a handgun inside the bank and fled with money.
Police had good video surveillance showing the suspects before, during and after the incident, said Police Chief Bob Burford, and they had a good timeline indicating the suspect was dropped off from a vehicle before entering the bank.
