Bethany Butler and Nick Wallace have announced their engagement to marry on Aug. 4.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dan and Devon Butler of Sweet Home.
She is a 2003 graduate of Sweet Home High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Oregon, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in education. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a master’s degree in social work. She is employed at the Children’s Farm Home in Corvallis as a child and family therapist.
The prospective groom is the son of Lee Wallace and Carol McPherson of Lewiston, Idaho.
He graduated from Lewiston High School in 2004 and the University of Oregon in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. He is employed by Fifth Season LLC in Junction City as a designer and fabricator.
The couple met at the University of Oregon.
